Privacy Policy

TimesTable.co is built for children, so we keep this simple: there are no accounts, no sign-up and no personal details sent to us. Everything your child does here is saved in the browser on your own device. The site is free because it shows ads, and we use analytics to see which pages are used. Both are set up for a children's site, as explained below.

What is stored on your device?

When your child plays, the site saves the following in your browser's local storage (a small storage area on your device):

• Player name: whatever your child types. A nickname works just as well as a real name.
• Avatar, theme and settings: for example Sound Effects or the Dyslexia Font.
• Learning progress: which facts have been practised, answer times, streaks and personal bests.
• Page choices: the last level or table picked, so it is ready next time.

This information is not uploaded to our servers, and we can't see it. It isn't passed to our analytics or advertising partners either.

Backups you download

My Player → Backup saves a progress file to your device. It only goes where you put it. Restoring a backup reads the file in your browser; nothing is uploaded.

Analytics (Google Analytics)

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and activities are used, so we know what to improve. We have set it up for a children's site:

• Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off, so visits aren't linked to Google accounts or used for advertising.
• Google Analytics doesn't store IP addresses.
• In the UK and EU, analytics cookies are only set once you agree in the consent banner. Without them, Google only receives anonymous page counts.

Advertising (Ezoic)

Ads are provided by Ezoic and its partners. The site is registered with them as directed to children, which means:

• Ads are not personalised. They are chosen from the page they appear on, not from what your child has done elsewhere.
• Ads appear at the bottom of pages and between sections of our articles for parents. Never between questions, and never on this page.
• Ezoic shows a consent banner in the UK and EU. Cookies for ad measurement are only used if you agree.

Ezoic and its partners may still process technical details such as your IP address and browser type to deliver ads and prevent fraud. Their own privacy policy explains how.

Cookies

The site itself works using local storage only. Cookies are used only by Google Analytics and Ezoic, as described above, and in the UK and EU only after you agree. To change your choice, clear this site's cookies in your browser and the consent banner will appear again.

Other services the site relies on

• Hosting (Cloudflare). Like every website, our host briefly processes technical details such as your IP address to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don't use this to identify anyone.
• Read-aloud. Features that speak questions aloud use your device's built-in speech voice. On some devices, the browser maker may process that speech.

Children's privacy

The site is designed for children aged roughly 5 to 14. We don't ask children for personal information, there is no chat or messaging, and there is nothing to share publicly. Ads are never personalised and analytics never builds a profile, in line with the UK Age Appropriate Design Code, GDPR and COPPA.

Deleting your child's data

• One player: go to My Player, find the player under Players and choose Remove.
• Everything: clear this site's data in your browser settings ("Site data" or "Cookies and site data").

Changes to this policy

If anything changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
