  • Double, then double again: 4 × 7 → 14 → 28.
  • Every answer is even, and the last digits repeat 4, 8, 2, 6, 0.
  • Half the 8s: 8 × 6 = 48, so 4 × 6 = 24.

The 4 times table lists the multiples of 4: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40, 44, 48.

How do you learn the 4 times table fast?

Double, then double again: 4 × 7 → 14 → 28. Then practise for a few minutes a day, asking the facts in mixed order rather than reciting them.

What is 4 × 7?

4 × 7 = 28. It is the same fact as 7 × 4, so learning it once covers both tables.

What is 4 × 12?

4 × 12 = 48. A quick way: 4 × 10 = 40, plus 4 × 2 = 8, makes 48.
