The ones that trip people up
The 19 times table lists the multiples of 19: 19, 38, 57, 76, 95, 114, 133, 152, 171, 190, 209, 228.
Split 19 into 10 + 9: 19 × 7 is 70 + 63 = 133. Then practise for a few minutes a day, asking the facts in mixed order rather than reciting them.
19 × 7 = 133. It is the same fact as 7 × 19, so learning it once covers both tables.
19 × 12 = 228. A quick way: 19 × 10 = 190, plus 19 × 2 = 38, makes 228.
The last digits of the answers repeat in a cycle: 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0.
It is a challenge table beyond the usual 12 × 12. Splitting 19 into 10 + 9 makes every fact manageable.
