The ones that trip people up
The 14 times table lists the multiples of 14: 14, 28, 42, 56, 70, 84, 98, 112, 126, 140, 154, 168.
Split 14 into 10 + 4: 14 × 7 is 70 + 28 = 98. Then practise for a few minutes a day, asking the facts in mixed order rather than reciting them.
14 × 7 = 98. It is the same fact as 7 × 14, so learning it once covers both tables.
14 × 12 = 168. A quick way: 14 × 10 = 140, plus 14 × 2 = 28, makes 168.
The last digits of the answers repeat in a cycle: 4, 8, 2, 6, 0.
It is a challenge table beyond the usual 12 × 12. Splitting 14 into 10 + 4 makes every fact manageable.
