The ones that trip people up
The 16 times table lists the multiples of 16: 16, 32, 48, 64, 80, 96, 112, 128, 144, 160, 176, 192.
Split 16 into 10 + 6: 16 × 7 is 70 + 42 = 112. Then practise for a few minutes a day, asking the facts in mixed order rather than reciting them.
16 × 7 = 112. It is the same fact as 7 × 16, so learning it once covers both tables.
16 × 12 = 192. A quick way: 16 × 10 = 160, plus 16 × 2 = 32, makes 192.
The last digits of the answers repeat in a cycle: 6, 2, 8, 4, 0.
It is a challenge table beyond the usual 12 × 12. Splitting 16 into 10 + 6 makes every fact manageable.
