The ones that trip people up
The 2 times table lists the multiples of 2: 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 24.
Double the number: 2 × 8 is 8 + 8 = 16. Then practise for a few minutes a day, asking the facts in mixed order rather than reciting them.
2 × 7 = 14. It is the same fact as 7 × 2, so learning it once covers both tables.
2 × 12 = 24. A quick way: 2 × 10 = 20, plus 2 × 2 = 4, makes 24.
The last digits of the answers repeat in a cycle: 2, 4, 6, 8, 0.
