The ones that trip people up
The 11 times table lists the multiples of 11: 11, 22, 33, 44, 55, 66, 77, 88, 99, 110, 121, 132.
Up to 11 × 9, write the digit twice: 11 × 6 = 66. Then practise for a few minutes a day, asking the facts in mixed order rather than reciting them.
11 × 11 = 121. It is the same fact as 11 × 11, so learning it once covers both tables.
11 × 12 = 132. A quick way: 11 × 10 = 110, plus 11 × 2 = 22, makes 132.
The last digits of the answers repeat in a cycle: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0.
The 11s take a little more practice than the easy tables, but the tricks on this page and short daily practice make them stick.
